Catgut Plain
Natural absorbable sutures made from the finest quality sterilised catgut, spun and polished into a uniform near monofilament-like strand, allowing ease of passage through tissue and excellent knot security.
Catgut Chromic
Natural absorbable sutures made from the finest quality sterilised catgut, but in addition are treated with a chromium salt solution which retards the absorption rate resulting in longer wound support. Available in a wide variety of needle size and thread gauge combinations.
Beige/Violet Braided Polyglycolic Acid
Synthetic absorbable braided sutures made from a polymer of Glycolic acid, has a high tensile strength and predictabale absorption rate, allowing wound support for approximately 21 days. Not affected by infection, inflammatory processes or exposure to protein digesting enzymes. Suitable for both skin closure and where non-permanent wound support is indicated.

Violet Monofilament Synthetic Absorbable
is a synthetic absorbable monofilament suture made from a copolymer of L-Lactide and E-Caprolactone. This material is inert, non collogeneous, non antigenic and non pyrogenic. CliniSolv has a high tensile strength and a predictable absorption rate. Loss of initial strength is approximately 50% after 56 days. It is treated with a surface coating to ensure smooth tissue passage and enhance knot sliding. CliniSolv is not affected by infection, inflammatory process or exposure to protein digesting enzymes in the gastro-intestinal tract. CliniSolv is suitable where non-permanent wound support is indicated.
